Private Swap - United States to Estonia

I am so happy that strryeyedgrrl decided to do the swap with me! This is what she sent me:

It took me a couple of days to get the package from the post office, because due to a couple of post offices closing down near us, there was a complete mess happening. I got the notification that the package had arrived, but when I went to pick it up after work the post office people couldn't find my package anywhere... and as it was closing time already they told me they would look into it the next day. I was really worried that they had lost it completely, but thankfully the next day I got a phone call that they had found it and I could come pick it up again :)

Now I am afraid that this time my wonderful partner managed to fill my wishes better than I could hers. The package contained all sorts of lovely pumpkin and peanut butter stuff that I am nuts about! Plus so many other cool things I have never tried before. The only familiar things to me were the Snickers, KitKat, Reese's and Twix bars. I haven't yet managed to try almost anything as I have been barely at home, but I sense some major experimenting and tasting in the near future :)

I requested some Lärabars if possible myself as I love them, but you can't buy them in Europe. Christmasy stuff seems really awesome, also the Spaghetty-O's and HoHos!

I have always wondered about Jell-o, so it's great I finally will get to try it. My boyfriend seemed happy about the assorted nut pack and I was overly ecstatic over the pumpkin tea and pumpkin spice pancake mix. The pancake mix will make a lovely Sunday morning I am sure of it :)

I think the stuffing for Turkey will somehow find its way on our Christmas table and I am already planning on making Tacos now. I've never made Tacos at home, so now is my chance to change that.

We already tried the Butterfinger chocolates and loved them! These were completely new for us. The Pez dispenser will be a nice gift for my little brother :)

An interesting thing I noticed during this swap is that a lot of the goodies strryeyedgrrl sent me, came in bulk packages. Things like several chocolate bars in one pack etc. That is not common in my country at all, we only can buy things by piece, very rarely in a bulk package like that. I guess the bulk packages make me feel a bit that the package I sent in exchange was a bit too empty... I truly hope that my partner wasn't disappointed in the things I sent her, because I loved all of mine :)

So glad to see that it arrived! Don't worry at all about your package - I was SO happy with it! We do have many multi-item packages here and generally it's cheaper to buy those packages than it is to get them individually...or it's not much more. For instance, I could've paid $0.75 for one Butterfinger bar or $1.00 for that six-pack. And people wonder why Americans are so fat?!

The Spaghettios were added at my daughter's suggestion - it's one of her favorite things and it's considered special because I don't buy it for her often. I included the taco seasoning because one of the first swaps I ever did involved a very specific request for it from an American abroad - I never knew that other countries just wouldn't have this stuff handily available.

Oh! And the HoHos were on sale, so my husband grabbed two boxes of them and took one for himself. Anything by Hostess is kind of a big deal - the company went out of business in 2012 and it was considered a loss of something really American...they made Twinkies and Ding Dongs and Sno Balls and all other manner of snack cakes. The snack cake recipes were bought by another company and only just came back on the market...hence the "sweetest comeback" on the box. :)
